⧜ Waxing / Tweezing VS Threading ⧜
Why do we choose to offer Waxing / Tweezing services for shaping the eyebrows versus Threading? What exactly is Threading?
Threading is an ancient Eastern form of temporary hair removal in which a thread is passed over unwanted hair & with a twisting of two sections of the thread, hairs are caught in between the threads & pulled out. There are numerous reasons why we suggest Waxing / Tweezing services for our clients:
⧜ It is impossible to achieve the same detail when threading as you will find from a Waxing & Tweezing combo. Each hair along the brow line is important to the shape of the brow. Threading the area under the brows is extremely difficult to do without removing the ends of the brows, leaving a short, unbalanced shape. Threading above the brow results in unintentionally removing longer hairs that will create gaps & an uneven line.
⧜ Unlike all other forms of professional hair removal, there are no regulations placed on Threading. All other forms of professional hair removal requires State Regulated Schooling & Licensing in order to protect the public. Threading salons have no inspections or sanitary regulations.
⧜ Most times Threading is done with one end of the thread in the technicians mouth in order to pull the thread taunt. That would never be allowed with a State Regulated & Licensed Service due to severe sanitation hazards.
⧜ When the hairs are twisted into the thread at the surface of the skin, often the hair is broken prior to removing the root. This can create heavier & quicker regrowth.
⧜ The process of threading can involve multiple passes over the same area to remove all hairs. This can cause a great deal of friction and irritation to the skin.
⧜ Not only is the process of Threading extremely painful, but skin can become trapped between the threads and tear the skin. Ouch!
⧜ At The Brow Boutique we use the highest quality, low-temperature, gel wax which minimizes irritation & discomfort while offering superior, lasting results. We continually hear our clients say "This was nothing like my previous waxing experiences."
